Load your new show
in a few minutes
Thanks for your purchase! Here’s how to get your new sequence playing on your controller.
Your download contains the light sequence. If it came as a .zip, unzip it first.
About the music
L Designs Plus sells the light show only. We never sell or send music, because the song belongs to the artist. You’ll need your own copy of the exact song listed on your order.
- Buy a download from the iTunes Store, Amazon Music (a purchase, not streaming) or Bandcamp. Spotify, Apple Music streaming and YouTube won’t work: they don’t give you a file.
- Get the exact version listed on your order (for example “radio edit, 3:42”). A different version won’t stay in sync with the lights.
- Not sure it’s the right one? Open the free Design Your Show designer, click 🎵 Sequences and add your song to your sequence. It checks the length and plays the show on your own house. Your file stays on your computer.
Open your controller
Make sure it’s powered on and on your network. On a computer or phone on the same network, open a browser to http://fpp.local/ (or the controller’s IP address). You’ll see the Falcon Player control panel.
Upload your files
Go to Content Setup → File Manager, then click Upload (or drag the files in). Upload both:
- the
.fseqsequence from your download - your own copy of the song (
.mp3or.m4a)
FPP automatically files each one in the right place.
Add it to a playlist
Go to Content Setup → Playlists. Open your existing playlist, or click + Add Playlist for a new one. Then Add → Sequence, pick your new .fseq, choose your song as its media, and click Save.
Light it up
To test right now, press Play on the playlist. To run it on your schedule, add the playlist under Content Setup → Scheduler. That’s it — your new show is live. 🎉
If something’s not right
- No sound?
- Make sure you uploaded your song file too, and selected it as the media in the playlist.
- Lights out of sync with the music?
- That’s almost always a different version of the song (remaster, extended or live). Check its length against your order, or check it in the designer under 🎵 Sequences.
- Can’t reach
http://fpp.local/? - Use the controller’s IP address instead — you’ll find it in your router’s device list.
- The show looks off?
- Each sequence is built for a specific package layout. Double-check you bought the version made for your package.
- Upload won’t take?
- Unzip the download first and upload the
.fseqdirectly, not the.zip.
